The Shabbat Project
HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY!
Shabbat is a Divine gift.
It improves our quality of life beyond measure, transforms our families and relationships, takes us to a new elevated plane of living. More than just a day of rest, it empowers us to be the best version of ourselves. And it has the power to bring Jews together like nothing else can.
This has been the driving vision of the Shabbat Project since it was introduced in South Africa in 2013. And it’s the reason why Jews, all over the world, of all backgrounds, remain drawn to it.
Now, with the pandemic finally behind us, there is a sense that this year’s Shabbat Project is going to be the biggest yet. There is a real thirst for in-person events and real human connection – and the Shabbat Project is primed to be at the very center of that: a direct response to the call of our times, a chance to re-energize and reconnect, and come together in celebration.
Here’s to Keeping it Together!

From Hanukkah to Harvard: Forces of Evil And Rising Antisemitism in Ivy League Universities
It feels like 1938 again. Iran is today’s Nazi Germany. And October 7 is our Kristallnacht. Through its proxy forces Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, Iran is on a mission to exterminate the Jewish people. And yet the leaders of the world’s elite academic institutions...

Writing this book has been an eye-opening personal journey for me. I am looking forward to sharing with you the secrets I have discovered along the way.
In this journey of writing the book, I delved into our sources and found myself looking at Shabbat with new eyes, and that has been transformative for me and my family.
In this book you will learn how Shabbat isn’t just a day of rest but A Day to Create Yourself. You will discover how Shabbat can unleash personal and societal renewal, and how it offers us a recipe for happiness in an increasingly complex world. Shabbat gives us the tools to create the best version of ourselves and our world, reminding us that our most important accomplishments in life cannot be touched or measured or priced.
Building character, shaping perspectives and finding happiness, Shabbat gives us the Divine gift of self-creation.
This gift is not in the sky. It’s right here.
*Published as a not-for-profit initiative, all book proceeds will go towards the Shabbat Project.
